2010 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It is truly an honour to be able to once again be in a position to thank the community, the many volunteers, business, service organizations, exhibitors, entertainers, concessionaires, and the Select Shows midway. Without all of you giving of your time to attend and participate, the fair would not conitinue to be a sucess.Our theme this year “Celebrating Dryden’s Heritage”. This year is our 103rd annual Dryden Fair and also out 11th aniversary of our new grounds. Dedicated volunteers make our fair successful, from the many exhibitors, competition participants, to the displays and those helping to sell our raffle tickets. We depend on dedicated volunteers to make our organization successful, and with the operation of the kitchen, and the many activities year round. We hope that you will be inspired to help us to continue to operate.Once again I would like to extend the Board of Directors thanks to the many men, women, youth, and children who keep volunteering year after year and the public for attending out functions. We could not operate without you.We are one of the few organizations in the area that has continued for over 100 years, the Board & Executive are proud, and the Dryden & area people should be proud of us. FAIR OBJECTIVES
- Encourage interest in, promote improvements to, and advance the standards of agriculture and domestic industry in rural-urban life.
- Help citizens in co-operative effort towards improvement of the local agricultural industry, promoting conservation of the resources and beautification of the local community.
- Promote opportunities for rural and urban relations to be improved through shared interests.
